Walk or Cycle the Forth Road Bridge - Right on the Doorstep

One of the most spectacular and accessible outdoor experiences in Scotland is available just minutes from Dakota Edinburgh. The Forth Road Bridge operates as a dedicated Public Transport Corridor, and its footpaths and cycle lanes are perfect for soaking up the view.
The east footpath and cycle lane are open to walkers and cyclists - the lane connects into National Cycle Network Route 1, and crossing the bridge is entirely free of charge.

The Forth Bridges Trail is a circular 5-mile route that takes in both sides of the Firth, the historic communities of North and South Queensferry, and a range of viewpoints and heritage features. You can cross on foot or by bicycle, return by train from North Queensferry to Dalmeny, or simply take a leisurely stroll back across the bridge.

•    By foot: approximately 20–25 minutes' walk from the hotel to the south end of the Forth Road Bridge, via the High Street and Hawes Brae.
•    By car: approximately 5 minutes' drive; parking is available at the Forth Bridges Viewpoint car park on the south side (EH30 9SF).
•    For cyclists: National Cycle Network Route 1 passes through South Queensferry and connects directly to the bridge approach.
